There are no restrictions on public gatherings or services. Some hotels, bars and restaurants remain closed for the time being. You should continue to practice measures recommended by PHE such as hand washing and social distancing.
Internal Restrictions: March 17, 2020 - PRESENT
International flights have now resumed. Travellers should be prepared for unexpected travel restrictions to be put into effect with little or no advance notice. All passengers arriving in Tanzania will be required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate upon arrival. The test should be taken within 72 hours of arrival in Tanzania. All passengers travelling to Tanzania must complete an online Traveller’s Surveillance Form. This form must be submitted no more than 24 hours before arrival. All passengers entering Tanzania will be subjected to enhanced screening for COVID-19 including a mandatory rapid test. The cost for rapid testing is 25 USD per traveller which must be paid in cash on arrival. The Government of Tanzania is also implementing temperature scanning for all international passengers arriving into Tanzania. Those on transit in other countries for more than 72 hours will be required to be retested by rapid test upon arrival in Tanzania. Kenyan airlines have reopened their airspace to Tanzania. Tanzania has stopped flights both from and to India.

Passengers arriving from Brazil, Congo (Dem. Rep.), India, Indonesia, Peru, Philippines, South Africa, USA, Uganda or United Kingdom are subject to a COVID-19 antigen test upon arrival at their own expense. 5. Passengers must complete a "Traveler's Surveillance Form" and present it to the Port Health Authorities upon arrival. 6. Passengers and airline crew are subject to medical screening.
